Crying Eyes
=========
(After Lyin' Eyes by The Eagles)

Some seiyuu just seem to find out early,
How to play their part with just a smile.
She'll hide her hand, and she won't have to worry,
She'll get another role put in her file.

In a while, an empty smile gets lonely
(Each and every form of mask will tend to do),
And it breaks her heart to think her fans love only
Pretty voice behind a smile they think is true.

So she tells them that they're just loving a phantom,
A broken bird who feels too tired to fly.
The fans want her to stay there, but she's leavin'
She hangs her head so that no-one sees her cry.

Please don't hide your cryin' eyes,
Though your smile is a fanboy's prize,
I thought by now you'd realise,
You shouldn't try to hide your cryin' eyes.

On the other side of town a girl is waiting,
With coffee pots and pies (save one for me!)
She works on through the day anticipating,
'Cause a seiyuu's what she really wants to be.

She forgets her rail card and gets a present;
A fan's sketch of the girl she's goin' to play.
It seems now she's behaving a lot more genki,
Could be her first fan has really made her day.

Please don't hide your cryin' eyes,
Though your smile is a fanboy's prize,
I thought by now you'd realise,
You shouldn't try to hide your cryin' eyes.

She gets there, and tries on her persona,
Occasion'lly veers off tangentially,
Is she in love? Or is she just half-crazy?
Explains she feels much more than they can see.

She wonders if Piro can understand her.
She says she's not lovestruck over some guy.
She's said her bit, and got her feelings out there,
Now she's ready to have another try.

My, oh my, you're sure messed up in the head, girl!
Your shining eyes hide thoughts no-one can see,
You never know, maybe this new job can help you
If it makes you bring out things that you feel.

Please don't hide your cryin' eyes,
Though your smile is a fanboy's prize,
I thought by now you'd realise,
You shouldn't try to hide your cryin' eyes.
You shouldn't try to hide your cryin' eyes.
Kimiko, don't hide your cryin' eyes.
