Ha, that's a very nice concept, and I've got to admit it's well executed --- twice. Very nice work, both of you. Here's my shot at trying to picture what the title track from Erika's CD is like. I feel horrible about messing up with one of my all time David Bowie favorites, but the concept seemed to fit.
Broken BirdBased on:
Starman by David Bowie
Just another morning here in Tokyo (oh-oh)
The sky's so high, while the street's so low (oh-oh)
The noise engross's me, I can't hear my self (can't hear what I
say)
Then the loud sounds did seem to fade (a-ade)
And grew so distant inside my head (a-ead)
There were no city inside my mind anymore
CHORUS:
There's a broken bird up in the sky
It'd like to roam so freely
But its wings won't let it fly
There's a broken bird inside my heart
It'd like to sing so freely
But it just lets out a sigh
It told me:
Let your mind go, baby
Let your heart go, baby
And let the melody come out
And then as quickly I was here once more (o-ore)
Like a cast away thrown back on shore (o-ore)
Walking the pavement of the street I walked just before
But through the crowd I can still see the light (igh-ight)
As it fades slowly and moves out of sight (igh-ight)
Rises to the sky and spreads its wings in flight
