Somewhere Out There

Somewhere out there,
Beneath the city lights . . .
Someone's disappointed
With my failures tonight.

Somewhere out there,
Yuki's holding a bear
Hoping we'll be together,
Though for that, there is no prayer

And even though the goth-girl's eyes
Follow me to my bed
It doesn't help that Ping is shut off
Right beside my bed

And even though Kimiko's teasing
Leaves me hopeful, some,
It doesn't help that I'm just thinking
That I'm acting dumb . . .

Somewhere out there,
Beneath the darkened Blue,
Maybe things will be okay,
Only if my secret hopes come true . . .

Somewhere, Out There
from An American Tail

Somewhere out there
Beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me
And loving me tonight

Somewhere out there
Someone's saying a prayer
That we'll find one another
In that big somewhere out there

And even though I know
How very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing
On the same bright star

And when the night wind starts
To sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping
Underneath the same big sky

Somewhere out there
If love can see us through
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true
