And it starts like this: we crave to be kissed
by a dream in color and her happiness;
we love all the girls we think will help us escape,
who lead us to wish that they were not fake;
we are losers or "otaku",
whose love grows bigger as our idol's fame swells:
we all gather convention-ally, convention-ally, convention-ally.
I am not the only fanboy of this cute girl Kimiko,
and I am not the only poet who's
filked a song before.

[chorus]
Make her up, make me love
cut me down when I miss her
and I miss her
every day
[/chorus]

Some fans are light-weight, without strong love or hate
phearing the phorums, they evaporate
when we speak the truth and they know that we're right:
you can't want the dark and still love the light.
Far be it from me to claim Kimiko
for I am just one in a crowd of fanboys
who all gather convention-ally, convention-ally, convention-ally.
I admit, there's just one blanket that I would ever miss
but I am not the only author writing stuff like this.

CHORUS

And so we love, as best we can, as our Kimiko
into anime ascends
into her fame, all smiles then, all smiles now: her smiles last.
We are losers or "otaku",
whose love grows bigger as our idol's fame swells:
we all gather convention-ally, convention-ally, convention-ally.
I am not the only poster who hasn't skillz to draw,
but I am not a lonely lurker who's much too scared to post.

CHORUS

I am not the only fanboy of this cute girl Kimiko.
