In the unlikely event that Fred one day decides to turn MT into an anime TV show, I give you...
The Megatokyo TV Theme
(To the tune of the "Gilligan's Island" theme song)
Look straight ahead and you'll hear the tale of a couple of gamer guys
Who tried to go to the E3 con, but much to their surprise
They couldn't get into the con, no matter how they tried;
Eventually one got drunk, and the other merely sighed.
The other merely sighed.
The drunk one started playing rough, and almost went to jail,
So the sober one got him on a plane, and thus begins our tale.
Yes, thus begins our tale.
They got on board a midnight flight to Tokyo, Japan.
Land of schoolgirls,
And Beer Gardens.
And new strife.
and injuries will follow soon
On this Far Eastern Isle
So these two gaijin spent more cash and topped their credit lines.
'Til they find cash to fly back on, they'll be here for some time.
They bunked with a friend for a little while, but that poor sap ran away.
So they found an empty store room and they still live there today.
Now the drunkard's teaching English, and the artist is a clerk,
And almost everyone they meet has another freakish quirk.
So tune in every Sunday morning; right on time at five;
And watch the funny tale of how these foreigners survive...
Gilligan's Island Theme Song
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip,
That started from this tropic port, aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailin' man, the Skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day for a three hour tour.
A three hour tour.
The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Minnow would be lost.
The Minnow would be lost.
The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle,
The Skipper too,
And his wife,
The movie star,
The Professor and Mary Ann,
Here on Gilligan's Isle.
Now this is the tale of the castways, they're here for a long, long time,
They'll have to make the best of things, it's an uphill climb.
The first mate and the Skipper too, will do their very best,
To make the others comfortable, in the tropic island nest.
No phone, no lights no motor cars, not a single luxury,
Like Robinson Crusoe, as primitive as can be.
So join us here each week my friends, you're sure to get a smile,
From seven stranded castways, here on "Gilligan's Isle".
