In My Lap

There's a franchise I'll remember,
No matter that they're all the same,
It's the Anna Miller's restaurant
In Meguro, let me explain:
It's not the food, nor the cute servers,
Nor the atmosphere that I recall,
It's the u-nique way they serve refreshment:
In my lap hot coffee falls.

There's no way I could forget her,
She's my angtsy mistress of the urn,
With the grace of a ballet dancer,
The coffee spills, my scrotum burns,
Though I know that wasn't her intention,
I'll never drink coffee without feeling sore,
And I'll probably never father children,
In my lap hot coffee pours.

And whenever I succumb to sleeping,
My nightmares transport me back once more,
And replay that moment in slow-motion,
In my lap hot coffee pours.

In My Life
(Lennon/McCartney)

There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more
