This is what happens when I go out to a cheese and wine, and drink too much wine and eat too much cheese.
Be warned, and keep me away from the port (;
And yes, it's Miho singing this.

Memory, a FILK on "Memory" from the musical "Cats", by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Grey light,
all around me, and people,
they surround me, their faces
pale and distant they show.
Quiet laughter,
the mumbled words of happier days,
Yet I walk here, all alone.
Memory
All alone with my sadness,
I can smile like the old days,
I was innocent then -
I remember
the time I knew what it meant to be loved,
before the shadows closed in again.
Every footstep seems to fuel
the dull, insistent aching.
Dead leaves dancing and dust motes prancing,
dormant feelings waking...
Daylight.
I must wait for the sunrise -
I must face life regardless,
try to live life again.
When the dawn comes,
this aching wound will quietly fade,
and a new day will begin.
Tired ends of tired ways,
My eyes so red from weeping,
Weakness taunts me, rejection haunts me,
why must I keep on hoping?
Touch me!
It's so easy to hate me,
Please, I beg of you, free me,
take me far from this pain.
I am fearful,
scared lest my dream of leaving this jail
turns to ashes yet again.

Midnight
Not a sound from the pavement
Has the moon lost her memory
She is smiling alone
In the lamp light
The withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan
Memory
All alone in the moonlight
I can smile like the old days
I was beautiful, then I remember
The time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again
Every street lamp seems to beat
A fatalistic warning
Someone mutters and the street lamp gutters
And soon it will be morning
Daylight
I must wait for the sun rise
I must think for the new life
And I mustn't give in
When the dawn comes
Tonight will be a memory too
And the new day will begin
Burnt out ends of smoky days
The stale cold smell of morning
A street lamp dies
Another night is over
Another day is dawning
Touch me !
It's so easy to leave me
All alone with my memory
Of my days in the sun
If you touch me
You'll understand what happiness is
Look, a new day has began
