To "Someday", by Nickelback. ^^; It's a bit sappy/corny/lame, but, that's the usual disclaimer too. Enjoy.

How the hell did we wind up like this?
Why weren't we able, to see the signs that we missed
And try turn the tables

Lightsider loved Tohru.

Lightsider loved Shadowdancer.

Lightsider was confused.

Why was this happening to him? In all of his years this had never happened... he hadn't had even a feeling of belonging, let alone love, and let alone a love triangle... he had his Sight, but it wasn't good for this.

He hadn't been good around women even before he was cursed with the Light. And even though he looked nothing like how he was before... so long before.... he still had the same heart. The same memories.

Could his heart tell him what to do?

Shadowdancer was staring at him, frozen in place.

When Lightsider saw she had not slipped away, his already frayed control over his temper broke. Light and anger flared, as bright as noonday.

"GO!!" he screamed, pointing at the large shadow on the wall. "Just GO!!!! Take your damn Shadows and leave me alone!!!"

I wish you'd unclench your fists, and unpack your suitcase
Lately there's been too much of this
But don't think it's too late

"Shadow, I . . . "

"Who are you?" Shadowdancer whispered, her eyes meeting his once more.

The simple question pierced Lightsider to the very core. He had no defenses left; he only wanted to know the answer to that question.

Who am I....?

Nothing's wrong, just as long as
You know that someday I will

Someday, somehow
I'm gonna make it all right but not right now
I know you're wondering when
(You're the only one who knows that)
Someday, somehow
I'm gonna make it all right but not right now
I know you're wondering when

Those who he was Linked to - Tohru, and Shadow in front of him, and even the miko - could feel it, could feel his confusion.

But in the end, it was up to him to sort things out. He would be alright once that happened; it was getting to that point where he could make decisions about relationships and love that was the hard part.

Emotions... it was nice to experience emotions other than loneliness and isolation.

It was nice to experience love.

Well I'd hope that since we're here anyway
That we could end up saying
Things we've always needed to say
So we could end up staying
Now the story's played out like this
Just like a paperback novel
Let's rewrite an ending that fits
Instead of a Hollywood horror

Their lives were all intertwined. Lightsider's own, Tohru's, Shadow's; among each other, and among their factions, and among the city of Megatokyo as a whole.

But it was up to them to write their own stories. To finish threads once started.

And Lightsider's heart said that the threads he had started, were those of love.
