The bar was crowded, but there were enough people too depressed and drowning in their tears. The bar usually got like that, late at night.

The band was indeed a garage band... they had told the manager they were from some city in Washington... or was it Cleaveland? Even the manager couldn't remember.

They didn't even have a bass guitar, but somehow they managed to vibe with the crowd. The lead singer was tattooed with outrageous runic symbols that seemed to move on their own as he writhed back and forth in the red floodlight.

The drummer picked the upbeat, and they began to play...

Smells Like Love Angst

Get on a plane, bring your friend
It's great to leave and to pretend
That you fit in, camoflauged
Oh no, You dirty gaijin dude.

hello, hello, hello, how low (4x)

Can't draw my wings, it's less painless
Here I am now, I am saneless
I feel baka and complacent
Here I am now, I am saneless
A gaijin
Drink some wain
Don't feel near you
Drink some biiru
Yay

I'm worst at women, drugs and beer
And for these faults my mind reels
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end

Hello, hello, hello, how low (4x)

Can't draw my wings, it's less painless
Here I am now, I am saneless
I feel baka and complacent
Here I am now, I am saneless
A gaijin
Drink some wain
Don't feel near you
Drink some biiru
Yay

-- [ic break]
The rune-branded guitarists hands moved on their own up to the very bridge of the guitar, creeping slowly towards the soundpost like a deadly snake-- and then...
-- [/ic break]

And I forget just why I came
Oh yeah, I guess its Largo's wiles
I found life hard, he was hard to find
Oh well, whatever, nevermind

Hello, hello, hello, how low (4x)

Can't draw my wings, it's less painless
Here I am now, I am saneless
I feel baka and complacent
Here I am now, I am saneless
A gaijin
Drink some wain
Don't feel near you
Drink some biiru
Yay

A reprisal (9x)

The song ended, but it seemed the people were just as confused as before. That was the last song in Mega's set, and they slowly retreated from the stage.

But who was this Largo he spoke of? And who was the speaker -- what sheer angst he must of felt.

But the world refused to change....

---

Load up on guns and
Bring your friends
It's fun to lose
And to pretend
She's over bored
And self assured
Oh no, I know
A dirty word

hello, how low? (repeat)

With the lights out it's less dangerous
Here we are now
Entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now
Entertain us
A mulatto
An albino
A mosquito
My Libido
Yeah

I'm worse at what I do best
And for this gift I feel blessed
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end

hello, how low? (x bunch of times)

With the lights out it's less dangerous
Here we are now
Entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now
Entertain us
A mulatto
An albino
A mosquito
My Libido
Yeah

And I forget
Just why I taste
Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile
I found it hard
It was hard to find
Oh well, whatever, nevermind

hello, how low? (x bunch of times)

With the lights out it's less dangerous
Here we are now
Entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now
Entertain us
A mulatto
An albino
A mosquito
My Libido
Yeah, a denial
A denial
A denial...
