You Can Call Me "Girl"

A girl on a traffic light,
She says why do I play these little mind games?
Why do I play these little mind games,
When the rest of my life may be so short?
I need a place where I can soar again,
I want to repair my broken wings,
Don't want to spend my whole youth
In a children's playground,
Endgamer, Endgamer,
Raves in the moonlight,
Far away my parents are,
Mr Ninja-man, Ninja-man,
Chase these thoughts away for me,
You know I don't find my life amusing anymore.

If you'll be my teddy-bear
I will be your daughter, sir,
I can call you Junpei,
And Junpei, when you call me,
You can call me "girl".

A girl on a utility pole,
She says why am I all by myself here?
Why do I keep to myself here?
But oh these heights are so calm.
Where's my home and family,
What if I cry here,
Who will be my anchor
Now that my anchor rope is
Cut, Cut,
Adrift above the city
With a cell-phone held against my ear,
Drift away, Drift Away,
I've a muffler to keep me warm
And keep away the foggy dew.

If you'll be my teddy-bear
I will be your daughter, sir,
I can call you Junpei,
And Junpei, when you call me,
You can call me "girl";
Call me "Girl".

A girl balanced high above
Streets that seem so strange to her,
Maybe Megatokyo,
Maybe seeing it a different way now,
She speaks a couple languages,
Has no close friends,
Just one little robot-girl
That she's not sure about:
Ping-chan, Ping-chan,
Feelings in a circuit board,
On-line games and midnight raves,
She looks around, around,
She sees ghosts in the moonlight,
Dancing in the river mists,
She thinks "take me away with you", yeah.

If you'll be my teddy-bear
I will be your daughter, sir,
I can call you Junpei,
And Junpei, when you call me,
You can call me "girl".

Call me "Girl".

You Can Call Me Al
Paul Simon

A man walks down the street
He says why am I soft in the middle now
Why am I soft in the middle
The rest of my life is so hard
I need a photo-opportunity
I want a shot at redemption
Don't want to end up a cartoon
In a cartoon graveyard
Bonedigger Bonedigger
Dogs in the moonlight
Far away my well-lit door
Mr. Beerbelly Beerbelly
Get these mutts away from me
You know I don't find this stuff amusing anymore

If you'll be my bodyguard
I can be your long lost pal
I can call you Betty
And Betty when you call me
You can call me Al

A man walks down the street
He says why am I short of attention
Got a short little span of attention
And wo my nights are so long
Where's my wife and family
What if I die here
Who'll be my role-model
Now that my role-model is
Gone Gone
He ducked back down the alley
With some roly-poly little bat-faced girl
All along along
There were incidents and accidents
There were hints and allegations

If you'll be my bodyguard
I can be your long lost pal
I can call you Betty
And Betty when you call me
You can call me Al
Call me Al

A man walks down the street
It's a street in a strange world
Maybe it's the Third World
Maybe it's his first time around
He doesn't speak the language
He holds no currency
He is a foreign man
He is surrounded by the sound
The sound
Cattle in the marketplace
Scatterlings and orphanages
He looks around, around
He sees angels in the architecture
Spinning in infinity
He says Amen! and Hallelujah!

If you'll be my bodyguard
I can be your long lost pal
I can call you Betty
And Betty when you call me
You can call me Al
Call me Al
