Before the l33t master came, Junpei was undisputed master of airport mortal combat. Many challenged him, hoping entrance to the fair citadel Tokyo; none succeeded until that fateful day. Occasionally, a peculiar breed of gaijin would appear; dressed as ninja themselves, but moving with none of the grace; they would eat something called a 'Mentos', and move forward to do battle, apparently convinced that this act had given them mighty skillz in Mortal Kombat ninjitsu. Of course, Junpei bested them easily.

After a time, Junpei developed a little song he would sing about this.

Every Time I've Dueled -or- The Myth Of Ninja Mints
With affectionate apologies to Paul Simon

Over the walkway, down into customs
Wait shinobi guardian
Kombat skillz have earned him fame
And there is no doubt about it
It is the myth of ninja mints
He sees them all, and each one loses game

Well, your sprite get weary and your sprite fall down
Ever since my combo felled him
And I hear you make a small whimperin' sound
Somebody say, "Please go back now whence you flew."
Well, it not just now and it not just you
This is every time I've dueled

Out on the western cont'nents somewhere
Idle gaijin sit and boast
Make plans to challenge Junpei's might
And there is no doubt about it
It is the myth of ninja mints
That is how they mean to win the fight

Well, your sprite get bloody and your sprite fall down
Ever since my combo felled him
And I hear you make a small whimperin' sound
Somebody say, "Please go back now whence you flew."
Well, it not just now and it not just you
This is every time I've dueled

Over the walkway, down into customs
Wait shinobi guardian
Far and wide his skillz are known
He say there's no doubt about it
It is the myth of ninja mints
That's why you will certainly be ownzed
